Hosted in Europe, Made in Europe
Manatee API is built and operated from Europe for teams that want a practical way to accept Bitcoin payments without handing customer funds to a custodian.
The payment flow stays non-custodial. Your customers send Bitcoin directly to wallet addresses you control, while Manatee monitors the Bitcoin network, tracks payment status, and sends signed webhook events to your backend.
Why European hosting matters
For many businesses, payment infrastructure is not only a developer decision. It also affects vendor review, data protection expectations, support hours, and operational trust.
Manatee focuses on a simple European operating model:
- Hosted Bitcoin payment API infrastructure in Europe
- Product and support built from Europe
- Non-custodial Bitcoin payments with direct wallet settlement
- Signed webhooks for order updates and reconciliation
- Testnet-first integration before mainnet payment flows
What Manatee does not custody
Manatee does not hold private keys, seed phrases, or customer funds. It cannot spend, freeze, reverse, or refund Bitcoin. Refunds and treasury operations stay in your own wallet process.
For the full checkout flow, see Accept Bitcoin Payments. For implementation details, start with the Quickstart or open the Bitcoin Payment API reference.
